Supply-Chain Software – Trends, Features and Benefits

Over the years, enterprise software applications have blossomed to include a variety of supply chain functions, including planning, procurement, scheduling, inventory management, warehouse management, transportation management, global trade management to name a few.
Considering the challenges facing shippers in today’s competitive and global environment, companies can benefit in ways that were unheard of only a few years ago. This presentation will examine how supply-chain software is transforming business. It is targeted at executives and managers who are responsible for supply chain execution but have not had much exposure to the latest software applications. Specifically, it will examine:
1. Trends. The market for supply chain software is growing rapidly. Newer and more integrated functions for warehouse management, transportation management yard management and others are becoming available not only to large enterprises, but mid-sized companies as well. Learn about the latest software trends and how companies are deploying them.
2. Features. What do all these software acronyms (WMS, TMS, GTM, SCP and others) mean? Each of these software systems provides a unique set of features to address specific issues in supply chain management. Learn about the features available and how they might address supply chain issues facing your company.
3. Benefits. Software projects can be costly affairs. Before embarking on a project, you need to identify the benefits of implementation. Learn about the potential benefits related to the most important supply-chain applications.
